Wing Tai tops out The M, with 95% of units sold

The topping out of Wing Tai Holdings’ 99-year leasehold project in the Bugis area of District 7, The M @ Middle Road, took place on January 11th. The M is projected to be completed in the second half of the year, and features three 20-story towers, one 6-story tower, and 522 residential units, with floor space ranging from 409 to 1,012 square feet. Studio units and one to three bedroom apartments are available. Prices per square foot averaged $2,450 upon launch in February of 2020, despite concerns over the Covid-19 outbreak.

The development is situated near several MRT stations and interchanges, such as Bugis, Esplanade and City Hall, which grants access to four train lines: Downtown, East-West, Circle and North-South. Additionally, its proximity to commercial Tengah EC developments like Bugis Junction, Suntec City, Raffles City and Plaza Singapura is a notable benefit.

As of January 12th, 95% of The M’s units were sold, at an average price of $2,500 per square foot. One two-bedder on the 19th floor, measuring 592 square feet, sold for an all-time high of $3,245 per square foot in December 2022. This beat the previous high of $3,193 per square foot, recorded in October 2022 for a unit measuring 764 square feet, that sold for $2.44 million.
