[UPDATE] Copen Grand fully sold, with remaining units snapped up by second-time buyers
The Copen Grand executive condominium (EC) in Tengah Town, Singapore, has fully sold out just one month after its launch, making it the best-selling EC of 2022, according to Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons Asia. The 146 units were sold out by 1pm on 26 November, with prices ranging from SGD1.09m ($819,000) for a two-bedroom plus study to SGD2.17m for a five-bedroom premium unit. Copen Grand is the first EC in Tengah Town and is located near three MRT stations, the future Tengah Integrated Transport Hub and Tengah Boulevard Bus Interchange. It is also Singapore’s first BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy luxury EC. The strong sales are partly due to the availability of the deferred payment scheme (DPS), which allows buyers to pay a higher price of 3% in exchange for not having to immediately draw down their home loan after purchasing their unit. Approximately 70% of EC buyers have taken up the DPS in the face of rising interest rates.
The fact that Copen Grand was fully sold in just one week of its launch is a testament to the high demand for ECs in Tengah. This is due to the fact that Tengah is a relatively new town, and the fact that it is located in a prime location makes it a desirable place to live in. Aside from being close to the city, Tengah also offers a number of amenities, such as parks, green spaces, and a variety of shopping and entertainment options. Furthermore, the development is also situated close to a soon-to-open MRT station, which will provide residents with easy access to the rest of Singapore.
The fact that Copen Grand was able to be fully sold in such a short period of time is indicative of the rising demand for ECs in Tengah, and the potential for the area to become a vibrant and thriving community. Many potential buyers are drawn to the development due to its attractive mix of amenities and features, as well as its prime location. Furthermore, the fact that it is situated close to an upcoming MRT station further increases its appeal.
The success of the Copen Grand launch has also highlighted the potential of Tengah to become a desirable place to live in the future. The area has a variety of amenities and features that make it attractive to potential buyers, as well as being well-connected to the rest of Singapore. Furthermore, with the upcoming MRT station and the various green spaces, Tengah is set to become a vibrant and attractive town in the near future.
