Accor to add over 15,000 keys to premium, midscale and economy division in Asia
Accor, the global hospitality group, is pushing ahead with its ambitious expansion plans in Asia. The group has identified the Asian region as an important part of its growth strategy and intends to add over 15,000 keys to its portfolio across its premium, midscale and economy divisions by the end of 2023.
As of September, Accor has already signed management agreements for a total of 42 properties in Asia, bringing an additional 11,000 keys to its portfolio. The group is expecting to sign agreements for an additional 20 projects by the end of the year, thus reaching the 15,000 mark.

Highlighting this growth are some notable new properties, such as Grand Mercure Bangkok Sukhumvit 68 in Thailand, Grand Mercure Amritsar Airport Road in India, Pullman Amritsar in India, Mövenpick Living West Hanoi in Vietnam and Novotel Genting Highlands in Malaysia.
Garth Simmons, CEO, premium, midscale and economy division for Accor in Asia, expressed his confidence in the group’s “comprehensive growth strategies”, adding that Accor is at “the forefront of shaping the future of hospitality” in the region.
The group has further highlighted its commitment to the Asian market by hitting 45,000 keys in the extended stay hotel segment and entering into partnership with Crowne Estate to bring a Swissôtel resort to Malaysia’s Genting Highlands.
These initiatives make it clear that Accor is serious about its Asia expansion goals and is on the right path towards achieving them.
