on EdgeProp.sgLife by City Energy is part of City Energy’s foray into the energy retail business. The company plans to set up more concept stores and make a bigger effort to educate customers.

City Energy, a piped town gas provider, has opened a lifestyle concept store at Plaza Singapura featuring green and smart home solutions. It was formerly a retail store that is now part of the Keppel Infrastructure Trust subsidiary. The rebrand in December 2021 saw City Energy transition towards becoming a low-carbon gas-powered appliance provider.

Located on the third floor, the new store is an experiential centre for homeowners, developers, and other customers. The showroom area gives customers a chance to browse energy-efficient products, such as water heaters, gas hobs, and dryers of brands such as Möwe, Küche and Rinnai. These products have smart features that can be controlled through a single mobile app.

CEO Perry Ong states that Life by City Energy is designed to build homes of the future. He explains that “with growing awareness of climate change and price inflation, homeowners, property developers and owners of food and beverage businesses are looking for sustainable and affordable solutions which town gas and low-carbon gas-powered appliances can help achieve”.

The concept store also showcases the EV charging services of Go by City Energy. Customers can learn about the detailed plans for cross-border EV charging and mobile app at the store.

Part of City Energy’s energy retail ambition, Life by City Energy is a chance to educate customers. With more concept stores being set up and a greater effort to promote green and smart appliances, City Energy will be providing customers with the necessary support and information to make smarter decisions.
