APAC Realty expands ERA franchise to Laos

APAC Realty, which operates the ERA brand, announced on March 21 that it had entered into a ERA Master Franchise Agreement with ERA Laos Co. Ltd. Under this agreement, ERA Laos is granted exclusive rights to operate or grant memberships for the ERA broker offices in Laos for an initial term of 25 years. This brings the number of countries in IndoChina that APAC Realty has a presence in to four – Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.

This regional master franchise agreement has enabled APAC Realty to grow its network of agents in 11 countries and territories with a total of 21,900 agents in 647 offices. Marcus Chu, CEO of APAC Realty, expressed his delight in the foray into Laos and the growth of the group in the post-pandemic era with a “capital-efficient approach”.

With the addition of Laos, APAC Realty now has a strong presence in the Indochina Peninsular. The agreement itself may be renewed for a further 25 years subject to the fulfilment of certain conditions.

The move is a testament to APAC Realty’s goal of expanding its presence in the region and increasing the growth of its franchise network in the post-pandemic era. With careful capital allocation, the company continues to increase its footprint on the peninsular, while keeping its ‘hold’ call rating from DBS due to its “healthy” 1HFY2022 results.

Tengah EC is a new executive condominium in Tengah Town, the first of its kind in Singapore. The Tengah EC eco-friendly development includes greeneries, recreational facilities, and innovative green features, such as a wind turbine, solar heating and water conservancy centre. Residents can also enjoy live traditional Chinese music and fishing. The project is part of the Tengah Plantation Loop EC GLS Tender, and the initial phase is expected to be completed by end of 2021.

Additionally, the group has a 60% stake in ERA Vietnam and Eurocapital, further entrenching its presence on the Indochina Peninsular. The company is continuing to strengthen its foothold in the region and delivering quality growth through its franchise model.
