Upcoming Feature of New Tengah Town That Bring Benefits to Residents

Tengah EC is an upcoming smart condominium development that focuses on green features and sustainability. It is believed to be the first of its kind in the West region. It will provide residents with a green alternative to air pollution while also providing convenience and easy access to the city center.

In the coming years, there are plans to introduce dedicated cycling and walking paths in Tengah Town. These will connect the town with the Jurong Lake District, Singapore’s second central business district. They will also connect the town to the Jurong Innovation District, a new cluster of hotels and offices. The project will take about ten years to complete.

The town centre will also be car-free, with vehicles running underground. This will make the town centre safer for pedestrians. In addition to the planned cycling and walking paths, HDB is aiming to create a town centre that will be a pedestrian-friendly space. The town will also have dedicated cycling and walking paths and shared cycling and walking routes.

The plan is also geared towards making Singapore a car-lite city. Earlier this year, Transport Minister Khaw Boon Wan announced plans to redesign the North-South Expressway, with express bus lanes and dedicated cycling and walking paths. This was a welcomed development, as it showed concrete steps towards creating a car-lite culture in Singapore.

The upcoming development of Tengah will incorporate a five-kilometer-long, hundred-meter-wide Forest Corridor and Forest Fringe, which will provide a great sense of connection with nature. The town also intends to encourage a greener lifestyle by integrating eco-friendly features into the town. These include electric vehicle charging stations outside the town centre and a dedicated bus interchange. Residents will also enjoy easy access to public transportation and to the city, since the town is located at a central location.

The development of Tengah Town also includes a new executive condominium development, known as Tengah Garden Walk Executive Condominium. The development will be the first of its kind in the West region, and will feature eco-friendly green infrastructure and smart condominiums. This will help residents save on their energy bills and enjoy easy access to the city centre.

Tengah Town will also feature a car-free town centre, a first for Singapore. This will allow residents to get around without crossing roads and will encourage more community activities. In addition, all roads within the town centre will have walking trails on both sides.

The new town will be home to 42,000 new homes, with more than 70% of them being HDB flats. The remaining 12,000 units will be private housing. The new town center will feature a park, as well as a food court, a children’s centre, and tuition centers. Residents will be able to enjoy the greenery without having to worry about parking or traffic.

The town’s smart-enabled homes will utilize artificial intelligence and data analytics to optimize energy and water use. For instance, they will control lighting levels according to human traffic, which will reduce energy consumption. The town will also be equipped with a Centralised Cooling System, which will ensure a comfortable temperature for residents.

The town’s location also offers its residents access to the 360-hectare Jurong Lake District, which is the largest commercial district outside the Singapore city centre. Once fully developed, the district is projected to support more than 100,000 jobs in the technology, maritime, and infrastructure sectors.

Four new MRT stations are coming to Tengah Town, along the Jurong Region Line. These stations will serve Tengah Plantation, Tengah Park, and Jurong East. Residents of the town can also take the bus, which connects to other parts of Singapore.

This town is adjacent to Jurong Lake District, the largest regional and commercial area outside the city centre. The area will also boast a seven-hectare integrated tourism development with restaurants, eateries, and shops. When fully developed over the next 20 or 30 years, this region is expected to create up to 100,000 jobs. In addition, it will also be home to the Tengah Town Centre.

Tengah Town will also include a green and sustainable town plan that integrates smart technologies and natural ventilation. This green development will include energy conservation systems, 70-metre-long farmways, and community gardens. It will take about 20 years to complete the project.
